Floral Vine Nails

These floral nails were inspired by the amazingly talented (Instagram @) LynieCzka. I love all of her designs, and hopefully I can recreate more soon, but I have so many manis I want to try! Below, I'll include a pictorial she posted on Instagram that makes it easier to recreate these. The polishes I used didn't need a white base to show up, so I skipped those steps.

I used China Glaze's In a Lily Bit, Lime Crime's Pastelchio and Once in a Blue Mousse, Color Club's Wild Cactus and Flip Flop Fantasy, Revlon's Coastal Surf, and Sinful Color's Thimbleberry.

Here's Lynieczka's pictorial. If you use opaque polishes like I did for the vines and flowers, you can get away without making a white base for them because the color should show up on its own.

Cartoon Pineapple Nails

I've always been very into seasonal nail designs, and to me, nothing screams summer quite like fruit. I was looking at different designs, and saw pineapple nails by Cute Polish (Instagram @cutepolish) that I knew I had to recreate. They're a bit cartoonish, but I like how that makes them different than most of the other pineapple manis I've seen before.

I used Rimmel London's Sunshine, Julep's Kaylen, a green Kiss striper, and Color Club's Wild Cactus.

Cute Polish has a tutorial on her Youtube channel for this design, but here's the picture she posted on Instagram that inspired my mani.

Neon Water Marble Nails

I've been on Vacation time this July- first I went to New York, then Virginia, and I'll be going to Seattle soon. When I was in Virginia, I didn't want to have to spend hours that could be enjoyed at the beach painting my nails, so I decided to do a quick mani. The fastest technique I know that still looks professional is the dry water marble, so that's what I did! I did a mani a few months ago with this color scheme, and I liked it so much that I used the exact same colors again!

I used Color Club's Warhol, China Glaze's Sun Worshipper, and Cult Cosmetic's El Porto.

Here's a shot of my nails at the beach. I'm really bad at taking pics on the beach because it's hard to tell where my nails are on the screen, so this was the best shot I got.

Team Germany World Cup Nails

As I'm sure you probably know, the World Cup Final is today, with Argentina playing Germany. I've been rooting for Germany the entire time, because I'm 75% German, and I'm so excited to watch the game in less that 1 hour! I really wanted to do a mani in honor of the German team, so I decided to do one inspired by their uniform. It's kinda abstract, but I like the way it turned out.

It did smudge a bit after I applied the topcoat, even though I waited at least 5 minutes for the polish to dry first.

I used Cult Cosmetic's El Porto, OPI's Skyfall, OPI Red, and Black Onyx.

Here's the German World Cup jersey that inspired my nail design!

Fourth of July Tie Dye Mani

So I know this is two days late, but here are my Fourth of July nails! I was staying on my Grandma's for the Fourth, and she doesn't have wifi, so I wasn't able to do a blog post until today. I tried a watermarble design, then a gradient, and I finally settled on a dry watermarble mani. It was pretty easy, and I really like the way this turned out, kind of tie dye Americana.

I used Cult Cosmetic's El Porto, OPI's I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw, and OPI Red.

Abstract Floral Nails

So I won a contest on Instagram hosted by Cult Cosmetics, and they sent me an awesome Blackbox (their monthly subscription service) as a prize! I received two polishes, one of them being a pure white. I really wanted to try out the white, because I've heard it's a great 1-2 coat formula. I decided to do a floral mani that I saw on Pinterest, although I'm not sure who the original artist was. If you know who designed these first, please let me know so I can credit them!

I went to the Quabbin Reservoir with my family, and had to take advantage of the scenery to take pictures of my nails!

I used Cult Cosmetic's El Porto, Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Revlon's Coastal Surf, Milani's Paradise Pink, China Glaze's You Drive Me Coconuts, and Bonita's Pear Me Up.

The white polish, El Porto, is by far the best white I have ever tried! I used two coats for an opaque layer, although I probably could have gotten away with just one coat. It is seriously worlds better than my previous favorite, OPI's Alpine Snow.

Also, I changed up my nail shape! I really loved the square nails, but every time they started to grow out, they would get caught on things and break. I decided to switch it up with round nails, and hopefully they won't break as much!

Here's a picture of the Blackbox I won from Cult Cosmetics. It contains two polishes, a mascara, and some hair ties.

And here is a picture of the original mani that inspired mine, even though I'm not sure who painted it!
